Ses Illetes, the most emblematic beach of Formentera

This beach of more than 450 meters is part of the Ses Salines de Formentera and Ibiza Natural Park. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of the Balearic Islands and is one of the most emblematic landscapes of the Island of Formentera.

Calm and crystalline waters in Formentera

The beauty of this beach is essentially due to the colour of its turquoise waters and its shallowness. The contrast with the white sand makes this place a paradise that is protected and, therefore, especially cared for.

For many years it has been considered the best beach in Spain and the fifth best in the world.

Ses Illetes is made up of 5 islands

The name of this typical Formentera beach is due to its special formation. It is a beach composed of six islets that are located off the coast:

  • Illa de Tramuntana
  • Illa des Forn
  • Illa Redona
  • Escull d’en Pallà
  • Escull des Pou

How to get to Ses Illetes

Al tratarse de un Parque Natural se cobra una tasa simbólica si accedes en coche o moto. Sin embargo, si te acercas andando o en bici la entrada es gratuita.

Being a Natural Park, a nominal fee is charged if you access by car or motorcycle. However, if you walk or bike, admission is free.

If you go by boat remember that you cannot anchor less than 200 meters from the shore. And avoid doing it on oceanic posidonia beds.
